“SEO IS DEAD” ~ The cry heard so many times. Perhaps the people who most say this, are those
who have tried and unfortunately failed in their search engine optimisation efforts.
As long as these search engines continue to provide relevant, useful results – people will use them. And as long as people are using these search engines, people will be clicking on ads – and search engines will make money.
This is why search engines want websites to be optimised (properly) – so they can be included in useful, relevant organic search results. As people know these search engines always provide good results, they will come repeatedly use it in the future, thereby increasing the chances they will click on a paid ad.
Organic results allow for frequent exposure to the consumer. You can achieve this with paid ads, but it’s much more costly. Assuming your business offers a product in which the customer/client will need to conduct their own research before contacting you, the more times your website is seen by a relevant consumer, the more likely they are to click on it, and then take action, or contact you.
Paid search ads aren’t getting cheaper. And there’s only so much room for ads on each page.
